Pennsylvania Empire Tiger Maple and Cherry Chest of Drawers, ca. 1830
This chest is a few grades above the standard Empire chest. It has amazing tiger maple veneers and the main drawer is further accentuated with cherry cross-banding. It is all original with poplar secondary wood. It may retain its original finish. Brasses are replacements from about a generation after the chest was made. Please note that we also have two tiger maple beds, a tiger maple candle stand, and several tiger maple chairs that would make an entire tiger maple bedroom.
